Alvin is being fostered in the Memphis, TN area.
I-AM-ALVIN!!! I’m probably the happiest 14mo boy you’ve ever met! There’s nothing in this world that gets me down, including parvo when I came into rescue. Ok, that’s not true…I was adopted by a family that I loved like no other, but something happened that I don’t understand (some human problem about money or something that I just couldn’t wrap my brain around. I was heartbroken, my humans were heartbroken, but NMSGDR took care of it and took me back in with no problem. Though I missed my family, I immediately fell back into “happy” in my foster home. You see, I have great playmates in my foster home, and we play all the time (with breaks to cuddle and snooze). I have a ton of energy and love to play! I am a little bit of a bull in a china shop, but I don’t mean to be. You see, my foster mom says I am like a 13yo human boy – all arms and legs! I don’t know that I am bigger than everyone else, and I think I can just curl up into a tiny ball. I love dogs of all sizes, but sometimes the smaller ones are intimidated by me. I don’t understand that, because I’m just a tiny thing! (about 3ft at the back), and just want to be friends! Either way, I have learned to approach a little slower, because no everyone knows that this gentle giant is just a mini at heart, and those little dogs get defensive! They can be scary, and I don’t wanna be eaten!
I absolutely need active 4-leggeds in my home, because otherwise, I will get bored if left to my own devices. But I truly am just a huge heart in a tiny body in my own mind’s eye. Did I mention that I love kiddos?? I love everyone, but I really do love kids! They’re so soft and sweet! And I love to cuddle with them! I would stay and tell you more about myself, but my bestest friend (Mary, my Catahoula foster sister) is calling me, and I wanna go play! So I will catch you later, if that is, you’re interested in this taaaallll drink of water with Paul Newman eyes!! *Blink, Blink, Blink!!* And really, who wouldn’t be?!
**Intake info: If this name sounds familiar, there’s a reason. Alvin was part of the Chipmunk litter brought in 08/14. They were surrendered to a high kill shelter with parvo. One of the chipmunks didn’t make it, but Alvin is healthy as a horse and recovered nicely! He was adopted, but had to be re-surrendered due to his family’s unforeseen hardship. They loved him dearly, and he nor they did any wrong for him to be turned back into rescue. You will love him too!**
